About Ken:
I love all things music: Especially playing and listening to it…
and teaching about, studying and talking about music.
I first got inspired, musically, by the great Glenn Campbell. Later, I discovered and fell in love with the music of the Beatles, and then a lot more music. In high school, between my passion for Led Zeppelin and Pat Metheny, I got interested in trying to learn the guitar.
I have a degree in Jazz from Arizona State University. I studied with Tim Boyce, Randy Tucker, Tony Malaby, Chuck Marohnic, Frank Vignola, Gene Bertoncini, Jim Hall, Michael Moore and Kurt Rosenwinkel. (Boy, have I been lucky!)
I have recorded or performed with Frank Vignola, Joe Ascione, Gary Mazzaroppi, Gene Bertoncini, Jimmy Bruno, Mark Egan, Vince Cherico, Jane Monheit, Monty Alexander, Janice Siegel, Tom Warrington, Peter Washington and many other wonderful musicians.
Besides performing music, I am also involved in teaching guitar, through online courses, privately, and as an instructor at Frank Vignola’s Big Jersey Guitar Camps.
